Steps to Leave a Legacy Gift to UNHCR
STEP ONE
Decide on the beneficiary that you would like to recognize in your legacy gift. Once you have considered the needs of your loved ones, you may also wish to consider leaving a humanitarian legacy gift to UNHCR.
STEP TWO
Choose the type of legacy gift you would like to leave:
Gift-in-Will
• A residuary gift: the remainder of your Estate once everything else is taken care of
• A percentage of your Estate: a specific proportion of your Estate’s value
• A pecuniary gift: a specific sum of money
Insurance Policy Giving
Naming the family, friends and/or UNHCR as the beneficiary of your insurance policies, either wholly or partially of the sum insured to support the work of UNHCR.
STEP THREE
Gift-in-Will:
• Visit Forevergift to create a Will for FREE (all Wills are prepared in Chinese, if you need a Will in English, please feel free to call or WhatsApp Forevergift at 5468 3635 for more details.)
• Visit a lawyer to have your Will written or updated with a codicil
