English classes help build confidence among refugees from Bhutan

The 64-year-old is among the more than 9,000 refugees from Bhutan who have attended spoken English classes funded by UNHCR and implemented by Caritas Nepal in seven refugee camps in eastern Nepal.

“Waiting to be smuggled into Yemen”
5 Nov 2009So far this year, close to 25,000 Somalis have been smuggled into Yemen by boat from northern Somalia, mainly from areas around Bossasso. Most were escaping from violence and poverty in their country. Many lost their lives during the trip.
