UNHCR Global Trends Report 2025
UNHCR's Global Trends report presents key statistical trends and the latest official statistics on refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless persons.
By the end of 2025, there were 41.6 million refugees, 9 million asylum-seekers and 68.7 million internally displaced people worldwide. Today, one in every 70 people globally is forcibly displaced, representing 1.4 per cent of the world’s population.
The international community must continue to work together to support and stand in solidarity with people forced to flee their homes, helping them rebuild their lives with safety.
