UNHCR's observations on Estonia's law proposal on measures related to COVID-19

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has submitted our observations on Estonia's law proposal amending the Assistant Police Officer Act and Other Acts (Measures related to the spread of virus SARS-Cov-2 that causes the disease COVID-19).

Amongst other measures, the draft law aims to introduce a 10 day registration deadline for applications for international protection in times of emergencies and emergency situations, whereas the deadline in regular circumstances is 3 days.
