World Refugee Day
Every year on 20 June, the United Nations, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and civil society groups around the world hold events to draw public attention to the millions of refugees and internally displaced persons who have been forced to flee their homes due to wars, conflicts and persecution.
In 2022, the theme of World Refugee Day is the right to seek safety. Our core message is that everyone has a right to seek safety, whoever they are, wherever they come from and whenever they are forced to flee.
WHOEVER, WHEREVER, WHENEVER
EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO SEEK SAFETY
The objectives this year are: (1) to educate people on the fundamental right to seek safety, and (2) to build a movement of solidarity for refugees across the globe.

And we will continue – whoever, wherever, and whenever someone is seeking safety.
