Assessment, monitoring and evaluation workplan

Last updated:

The assessment, monitoring and evaluation (AME) workplan is a forward-looking tool designed to support multifunctional teams in operational-level planning. It encompasses all planned activities related to assessments, monitoring, and evaluations, such as primary data collection, secondary data reviews, legal analyses, direct implementation monitoring missions, strategic reflections, and capacity-building initiatives.

UNHCR also has a Global Data Inventory (GDI), a backward-looking repository that consolidates completed primary data collection activities at the country, regional, and global levels, providing a comprehensive resource for reference and analysis. It is limited to microdata and qualitative data or surveys conducted by UNHCR or in partnership with other agencies. The Global Data Inventory also establishes links to collected data eventually stored in UNHCR's Raw Internal Data Library (RIDL).

Together, these tools complement each other by ensuring effective data management and coordination across the program cycle.
