Lithuania as a Donor

Lithuanian contributions to UNHCR

Since 2011, Lithuania has been a committed donor to UNHCR. Over time, Lithuania has increased its support to UNHCR. In 2019, Lithuania provided UNHCR with an important donation of almost USD 90,000, making it one of our top 50 donors per capita. In 2020, 100 per cent of Lithuania’s USD 55,000 contribution to UNHCR was unearmarked, enabling rapid responses to sudden, urgent situations and protracted crises.

  • Lithuania has supported UNHCR’s work in Syria for several years.
  • During the Global Refugee Forum, Lithuania pledged EUR 50,000 to humanitarian efforts for Rohingya refugees.
  • Lithuania’s development support contributes with assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
