UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has submitted its observations on the Danish government’s proposal to amend the Act on Active Social Policy, the Integration Act and various other laws (Reduction of the integration benefit and change of bonus for Danish language level test).
Once again, the social welfare integration benefit is reduced, this time by three per cent. At the same time, there will be a reduction to the bonus that a foreigner can receive once having passed a Danish test at a higher level than required. The law amendments follow recent amendments to child benefits, adopted on 30 November 2017, which now requires at least six years of residence out of ten before gaining access to full child benefits.
UNHCR’s observations are available here.
